- Provide clients with clear guidance on key plans and the proposed load‑bearing layout.
- Advise clients on potential cost implications or variations resulting from design changes.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to identify value engineering opportunities during the tender stage.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships via phone and direct communication.
- Address commercial queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure a smooth transition from estimating to design through a comprehensive sales handover process.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance commercial processes.
- Collaborate with the sales team to improve the quality of information and the handover process to estimating.
- Liaise with the purchasing team regarding current costs for materials and purchased items.
- Proven experience in estimating, ideally within the construction or manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge of light gauge steel, off‑site construction, and modern methods of construction (MMC).
- Background in manufacturing processes and their application to construction projects.
- Familiarity with quantity surveying principles and cost control methods.
- Proficiency in using relevant software (e.g., Auto Cad, Microsoft Office).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, sales teams, and internal departments.
- Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
- Our culture focuses on connecting and caring about those around us, nurturing teamwork, communities, partnerships, and new ways of working, with a high priority on safety and the working environment of our people.
- Our "Road to Sustainability 2030" guide us to build a better, sustainable future, caring about social and environmental impacts and developing innovative solutions.
