Chartered Building Surveyor
Turner Property Recruitment is working with a leading international property and construction consultancy to recruit a Chartered Building Surveyor for its growing team across Yorkshire.
This opportunity would suit someone from recently Chartered through to Associate level who enjoys the project delivery side of building surveying and wants to work on a varied portfolio of high-quality instructions.
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Clerk of Works and/or NEC Supervisor
, alongside broader project-focused building surveying experience. However, this is not essential, and we welcome applications from Chartered Building Surveyors who do not currently meet all the preferred criteria.
You will work closely with established Building Surveying and Project Management teams, supporting the successful delivery of projects across a range of sectors.
Responsibilities may include:
- Undertaking Clerk of Works and NEC Supervisor duties
- Monitoring construction quality, progress and compliance
- Preparing project reports and maintaining accurate site records
- Identifying defects and ensuring remedial works are completed
- Supporting contract administration and employer’s agent instructions
- Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders
- Contributing to the continued growth of the regional Building Surveying offering
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues, where appropriate
Ideally, you will be:
- A Chartered Building Surveyor with MRICS status
- Operating from recently Chartered through to Associate level
- Experienced in project-focused building surveying
- Familiar with Clerk of Works and/or NEC Supervisor responsibilities
- Confident communicating with clients and contractors
- Commercially aware and committed to delivering a high-quality service
