The OpportunityA global consultancy in the built environment sector is expanding its Leeds team and is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to support a growing pipeline of work. Following a successful 2026, which saw the business expand into new sectors and introduce additional service lines, the Leeds office is entering an exciting period of investment. You’ll deliver a blend of professional and project based surveying services across a variety of sectors;
education, healthcare, private residential, housing, retail, industrial and local government properties, all within a culture that genuinely prioritises people, wellbeing and long term growth. What You’ll Do Delivering a blend of professional services and project management across the Yorkshire and Northern region main duties of the role include:
• Carry out building surveys, inspections, condition assessments and technical reports
• Prepare specifications, design information and contract documentation
• Lead contract administration and monitor construction progress
• Support project delivery from feasibility through to completion
• Build strong client relationships and represent the consultancy professionally
• Share knowledge within the team and support junior colleagues
• Cross collaboration with internal departments to support business growth strategies.
What You’ll Bring
• Degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent)
• MRICS preferred, or actively working toward chartership
• Strong technical understanding of building pathology and construction processes
• Clear communication skills and confidence in client facing environments
• A proactive, organised and collaborative approach
