Quantity Surveyor

A leading construction business is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in Leeds. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the commercial management of construction projects, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and operational teams through to completion.

The Role Manage the commercial performance of projects from procurement through to final account Procure and manage subcontractors in line with programme and company requirements Administer subcontract accounts, applications and payments Prepare and submit external valuations and maintain accurate forecasts Monitor project costs, liabilities and commercial performance Carry out measurement from drawings and on site where required Manage variations, change and provisional sums Support the identification and management of delay and commercial risk Produce CVRs, valuations and other commercial reports Maintain accurate project records and documentation Build effective relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain Negotiate and agree commercial changes and variations About You Minimum 3 years experience working in the construction sector Strong Quantity Surveying background Experience in subcontract procurement and contract administration Good understanding of valuations, forecasting, cost control and variations Working knowledge of NEC, JCT or equivalent contracts Strong communication and negotiation skills Excellent attention to detail and organisation HND, degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying / Built Environment desirable Valid CSCS card desirable Valid UK driving licence
