Greater Leeds | Salary up to £65,000 + Excellent Package
I'm working with a well-established house builder looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to take the lead on a brand-new residential development in the Greater Leeds area.
The development will comprise 120 traditionally built homes, with property values ranging from £300,000 to £800,000. With a varied mix of house types and a strong emphasis on build quality, this is an opportunity to join a development from the outset and play a key role in its successful delivery.
The business is looking for a hands-on, organised and commercially aware Site Manager who can take ownership of site operations, lead subcontractors effectively and ensure homes are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standards.
The Role
* Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of a brand-new 120-unit residential development.
* Oversee the construction of traditionally built private homes, maintaining consistently high standards of workmanship and finish throughout the development.
* Coordinate and manage subcontractors, trades and site personnel to ensure work is completed efficiently and in line with the agreed build programme.
* Plan and monitor site activities, ensuring labour, materials and resources are available when required to maintain progress and minimise delays.
* Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring all site activities comply with current legislation, building regulations and company procedures.
* Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks, identifying and resolving issues early to minimise defects and avoid unnecessary remedial work.
* Monitor build progress against programme milestones, identifying potential challenges and implementing solutions to keep the development on track.
* Work closely with the wider construction, technical and commercial teams to resolve site issues and ensure the smooth progression of each plot.
* Ensure plots are completed to the required standard and handed over in line with agreed timescales.
* Promote a positive, professional site culture, maintaining high standards of housekeeping, organisation, safety and workmanship.
* Help deliver an excellent customer experience by ensuring homes are completed to specification and ready for handover.
About You
* Previous experience as a Site Manager within the residential house building sector.
* A strong understanding of traditional build construction methods and the full build process, from groundwork through to completion and handover.
* Proven ability to manage subcontractors, coordinate multiple trades and maintain progress across a residential development.
* A thorough understanding of health and safety requirements, build quality standards and site compliance.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and resolve problems effectively.
* A proactive, hands-on approach, taking pride in delivering quality homes and maintaining high standards across the site.
* Relevant construction qualifications, including SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
The Package
* Salary up to £65,000, dependent on experience.
