As a Production Assistant, you will support the production team in the planning and coordination of photography, video and CGI projects, helping to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget and to Ride Shotgun’s quality standards. You will be highly organised, detail-focused and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in content production.

Working closely with Producers and Senior Producers, you will assist with interpreting briefs, project tracking, scheduling and day-to-day communication with internal teams, clients and suppliers. You will play an important role in keeping projects running smoothly through the production process while developing your skills and understanding of end-to-end production.

Key responsibilities
  • Project support:
    Supporting senior producers, producers and client services with their day to day projects through pre-production, production and post-production, with a good understanding of where the job is at any point in time
  • Project scoping:
    Supporting with interpreting briefs and finding cost effective solutions
  • Scheduling and time management:
    Proactively manage your own time and workload on a daily basis in order to complete any given agreed task to deadline
  • Client liaison:
    Work with our producers/client service team and under guidance demonstrate the ability to develop client relationships. Facilitate regular contact with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of a project
  • Production processes and documents:
    Support wider production team with shoot lists, talent/location sourcing, timing plans and any other production tasks required
  • Resource planning:
    Work with the team to plan resource for internal and external projects
  • Briefing:
    Assist wherever possible to ensure briefs from all departments are completed, consolidated, added to or edited in order to brief the studio team brilliantly
  • Shoot Assistant:
    Support productions with various aspects of shoot production, including on set assistance, samples, equipment, travel and sustenance
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our business and all the content services that we offer, so that you are able to talk about it confidently and inspire those around you
  • Problem solving:
    Find solutions and resolve issues, escalate appropriately any problems or issues that you cannot resolve alone.
  • Project Debrief:
    Assisting with running debrief sessions to go through what went well and what the business or department can learn or improve on
  • Communication:
    Stay in contact with all crew and departments at every step of a project
  • Become an integral and trusted member of the production team and develop strong working relationships with all teams to easily facilitate work going through the studio

LOCATION AND WORKING HOURS

This role will be based from either our Manchester or London office, 9am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The role is open to hybrid working. There will be a requirement to travel to the client site.
