Introduction to the role of the team

Working within Leeds City Arts, Event’s & Venues alongside programming and operational teams, the candidate will be responsible for the technical provision provided within LCC venues alongside a small team of permanent and casual technicians.
Your role To help manage and develop technical operations, ensuring the highest standards of technical provision and providing support and satisfaction for users of the Council’s public performance venues.

You willbe required to work across the portfolio of venues, currently Leeds Town Hall, Carriage works Theatre, and Pudsey Civic Hall, along with anyadditionalvenues in the future.

Currently this post isbasedat the Carriage works Theatre.

Responsibilities
  • To provide full audio, lighting, stage and audio-visual support for performances and events including safe rigging, de-rigging and operation of audio, lighting, staging and video equipment throughout Leeds CC venues.
  • To provide technical and artistic support both within the Arts, Events & Venues service, and throughout LCC.
  • To provide the same for all professional and amateur companies, commercial and other ad hoc users of LCC venues.
  • To work closely with the Operational and other Arts, Events & Venues teams, to assist in the preparation of areas for meetings, conferences, and events as required.
  • To adhere to all relevant current legislation and to undertake the duties of the post in accordance with the Council’s Policies e.g. Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Green Strategy, Health & Safety Legislation, etc.

You will be knowledgeable and personable, willing to share your knowledge with technicians and users andhelpthemtorealisetheir technical and creative ambitions. You will be enthusiastic and motivated, giving the same level of drive and energyintoall tasks, and providing afirst-class experience to everyone coming through Leeds CC venues.

NB: shifts are offered on anad hocbasis according operational needs;therearenominimum gaurantee hours / shifts offered with this post.
