Build the Engine Behind One of the Most Recognisable Founder Brands Online
We’re hiring a full-time, fully remote Content Strategist to work directly on the personal and business brands of James Smith
.
This role is for someone who lives in content.
You turn 60-minute podcasts into 10 viral clips.
You see hooks before they’re written.
You understand why something will hit before it’s posted.
You will be responsible for ideating, shaping, publishing, and optimising content across:
- Instagram (@jamessmith)
- Instagram (iness)
- You Tube (@James Smith Business )
- Short-form platforms (Reels/ Shorts)
You’ll work alongside editors and designers - but you own the ideas, the direction, and the posting rhythm.
What You’ll Do Content Ideation & Strategy- Generate high-volume, high-quality content ideas weekly
- Identify cultural moments, trends, and reactive content opportunities
- Develop content pillars aligned with James’ voice, values, and positioning
- Balance education, controversy, authority, relatability, and conversion
- Build structured weekly content plans (short-form + long-form ecosystem)
- Watch podcasts, interviews, You Tube videos, and raw recordings
- Extract high-retention moments and strong narrative cuts
- Write short-form briefs with:
- Hook direction
- On-screen text ideas
- Cut timing suggestions
- Work closely with editors to refine pacing and retention
You should be able to instantly identify:
- The 30 seconds that will perform
- The controversial moment
- The value bomb
- The emotional pull
- The clip that drives traffic to offers
- Schedule and publish content across Instagram and You Tube
- Write captions and CTAs aligned with funnel goals
- Ensure formatting, thumbnails, titles, and hooks are optimized
You are responsible for making sure the content goes live - and goes live well.
Performance & Optimisation- Track performance weekly (reach, retention, engagement, saves, shares)
