Job Description & How to Apply Below
Senior Architect
Salary: £40,000 - £47,500
Location:
Leeds
An established and highly regarded multi-disciplinary practice is looking to strengthen its Leeds studio with the appointment of a Senior Architect.
This is a practice with real longevity, almost six decades in the business, and a portfolio that spans an unusually broad mix of sectors, including commercial, education, healthcare, residential, retail, and heritage/conservation work. If you're someone who thrives on variety rather than being pigeonholed into one sector, this is a genuinely rare opportunity to work across master planning, new build design, sensitive restoration, and interiors, often within the same year.
The Role
You'll take a lead role on projects from concept through to delivery, working closely with directors and associates while mentoring more junior members of the team. Given the range of live work coming through the studio, you can expect real variety project to project, rather than being tied to a single typology.
What's on Offer
A clear, structured route towards Associate and beyond. This is a practice that genuinely invests in developing people into leadership roles, not just retaining good technical staff.
Exposure to a wide ranging project portfolio across multiple sectors, including some long standing client relationships dating back decades.
A collaborative, values led culture with a strong emphasis on sustainability, conservation, and inclusive design.
Modern studio space in Leeds city centre, with easy access to transport links.
What They're Looking For
ARB registered, RIBA Part 3 qualified Architect.
Solid post qualification experience, ideally with exposure to a range of sectors.
Strong technical and design ability, with the confidence to lead projects and mentor junior staff.
Someone who enjoys variety and is keen to broaden their sector experience further.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising directly with clients and consultants.
