Senior Architect

Salary: £42-48,000

An award-winning architectural practice with a strong focus on its people is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join its established Leeds team. Operating from several locations across the UK, the practice has built an excellent reputation for delivering considered, high-quality projects across a diverse range of sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ARB-registered Architect with substantial post-qualification experience to take a leading role on projects from initial concept through to completion, while continuing to develop within a supportive, forward-thinking and design-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for the design and delivery of projects across all RIBA work stages
Prepare planning applications, technical information and construction packages, including specifications and schedules
Coordinate project teams and work closely with external consultants and contractors
Manage day-to-day communication with clients and key project stakeholders
Monitor project programmes, budgets and quality to ensure successful delivery
Review and develop technical information in line with current UK Building Regulations and relevant legislation
Provide guidance, support and mentoring to less experienced members of the team
Assist with design development, bids, tenders and client presentations as required
Attend site meetings, project reviews and industry events to maintain and develop technical knowledge

Ideal Candidate:

ARB-registered Architect with strong post-qualification experience
Demonstrable experience taking projects through the full RIBA work stages
Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning requirements and construction detailing
Confident user of Revit with a good understanding of BIM processes

Experience with NBS specification software would be advantageous
Strong design, technical, communication and project management abilities
Comfortable leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
Well organised, proactive and capable of working both independently and as part of a wider team
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial
