Salaried GP (Maternity cover, initially for 6 months but may extend)
Foundry Lane Surgery based in East Leeds, (Drs Bruno Rushforth, Cathryn Cooper & Rob Eastham) are looking to recruit a salaried GP to cover maternity leave, initially for 6 months but may extend.
6 sessions per week. Monday, Thursday & Friday 8.30am - 6pm
Starting April 2026.

Main duties of the jobWe are keen to recruit a colleague who shares our desire to deliver high quality patient-centred care and education.
Experienced candidates or those embarking on their GP career post - CCT would be equally welcome to apply.
About us- 7,680 registered patients
- 6 GP team, 4 Registrars & FY2
- CQC "Good" across all domains and all patient groups
- Experienced practice nurse team (2 nurses and 2 HCAs)
- Supportive management, admin and reception teams
- Support from PCN staff including clinical pharmacy team / remote pharmacists offering daily appointment slots
- 6 weeks annual leave plus one week study leave per year
- No duty doctor session
- Meet daily for lunch for peer support
- All 3 partners started as salaried GPs
Job responsibilitiesTo work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with contracts. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
PersonSpecification Experience
- Experienced candidates or those embarking on their GP career post CCT would be welcome to apply.
- - Recent experience of working in general practice in the UK.
- - Have an understanding of the needs of the vulnerable groups of
- patients that are registered. Understanding the health and social
- needs of a local practice patient population.
- - Commitment to and experience of working as part of a multi-
- disciplinary and skill mixed team environment.
- - Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care
- - Imaginative approach to problem solving and provision of
- services.
- - Experience of working to achieve standards within the Quality &
- Outcome Framework (QOF).
- - A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General
- - Understanding of the current issues and challenges facing primary
- - Commitment to personal and professional development and
- education and training.
- - DBS clearance.
- - Evidence of CPD activities.
- - Evidence of independent working in General Practice.
- - Evidence of participation in QOF.
- - Experience or an interest in clinical teaching / supervision.
