Obstetric Post – Leeds General Infirmary and St James's University Hospital
We are looking for an individual to fill this new Obstetric post at the Leeds General Infirmary and St James's University Hospital. The post includes a 1:10 obstetric on call commitment currently, but this post is part of a significant expansion and so this frequency will be adjusted accordingly once all appointments are concluded.
Job responsibilitiesThe successful applicant should hold Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists MRCOG (or equivalent) and should be on the Specialist Register or within six months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register.
Applicants should have established skills in Obstetrics and be accredited as a subspecialist in fetal medicine. Excellent communication and team working skills, a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential. Applicants should have completed SITMs/ATSMs appropriate to this specialist interest.
Consideration will be given to applicants who wish to work full or part time and those wishing to job share.
