Specialist Doctor (SAS) in the department of Adult Critical Care

We are inviting applications to fill our Specialist Doctor (SAS) vacancy at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Department of Adult Critical Care. This post is fixed term for 12 months.

Candidates must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice by the intended start date.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Grade Doctor in Intensive Care Medicine within Adult Critical Care at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in Europe. The role is based across the Trust's intensive care services at St James's University Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary, supporting the delivery of high-quality care to a broad range of critically ill patients, including those from regional specialist services such as liver transplantation, major trauma, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, renal, respiratory, haematology and oncology services.

This post would suit an enthusiastic, motivated and clinically confident doctor who is ready to work at a senior non-consultant level within a dynamic, supportive and multidisciplinary critical care team. The successful applicant will have opportunities to develop their clinical, leadership, teaching, audit, quality improvement and research experience, with support for continuing professional development and potential progression towards CESR where appropriate.

The Critical Care Service at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the largest and most diverse critical care services in the UK, delivering care across Leeds General Infirmary and St James's University Hospital. Our multidisciplinary team includes consultant intensivists, specialty trainees, Clinical Fellows, Advanced Critical Care Practitioners, outreach nurses and an experienced nursing workforce, all working together to provide outstanding care to critically ill patients across a wide range of specialist services.

• Experience in the assessment and management of critically ill adult patients.
• The ability to work at a senior level within the intensive care environment, managing complex clinical cases.
