French teacher Temporary

Position: French teacher (Contract, Temporary)
Academics have an exciting opportunity for a passionate French teacher that will commence from January 2026 and will run until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of a direct contract from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to take the next step in their teaching career.

As a French teacher you will be based at one of our diverse secondary schools in East Leeds. In the school's most recent Ofsted report they were given an overall grade of "good" and have been praised for providing staff with high quality training, along with having an ambitious curriculum that prepares students for their future studies.

Your role as a French teacher:

Demonstrate excellent knowledge to students across KS3 and KS4
Track student's progression, provide feedback and help them succeed!
Engage with other members of the curriculum by sharing ideas with the MFL team
Display strong behaviour management and have the ability to control a classroom

Requirements for the French teacher role:

Previous experience teaching French across KS3 and KS4
Time management and organisation skills
An honours degree related to French
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Right to work in the UK
DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
