We’re working with two brilliant secondary schools in South Leeds who are on the lookout for caring, curious, and committed individuals to join their SEND teams. Whether you're a recent graduate or someone with experience supporting young people, this could be the perfect first (or next!) step in your career.
What the Role Involves:Supporting students aged 11–16 with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech or communication difficulties
Helping students thrive both inside and outside the classroom with tailored academic and emotional support
Working 1:1 or in small groups to build confidence, routine, and progress
Collaborating with teaching staff and SENCOs to create inclusive learning spaces
Using your empathy and initiative to build trust and break down barriers to learning
Someone with experience working with young people (schools, youth work, care, etc.)
A calm, consistent presence who brings patience and positivity
SEND or TA Level 3 qualifications are great, but not essential—training will be provided!
An interest in education, psychology, or child development
Above all, someone who genuinely cares
Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:15pm
Term-time only (16 weeks of holiday per year!)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
