Special Educational Teaching Assistant

Location: South Leeds

We’re working with two brilliant secondary schools in South Leeds who are on the lookout for caring, curious, and committed individuals to join their SEND teams. • Supporting students aged 11–16 with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech or communication difficulties

• Helping students thrive both inside and outside the classroom with tailored academic and emotional support

• Working 1:1 or in small groups to build confidence, routine, and progress

• Collaborating with teaching staff and SENCOs to create inclusive learning spaces

• Using your empathy and initiative to build trust and break down barriers to learning

• Someone with experience working with young people (schools, youth work, care, etc.)

• A calm, consistent presence who brings patience and positivity

• SEND or TA Level 3 qualifications are great, but not essential—training will be provided!

• An interest in education, psychology, or child development

• Above all, someone who genuinely cares

• Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:15pm

• Term-time only (16 weeks of holiday per year!)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
