Type: Full time, temporary, flexible, term-time only with potential for permanent roles

We are seeking individuals with a keen interest in supporting students attending special schools in the Leeds area. You should be pro-active and willing to adapt to pupils' needs.

Job Specification & Description:

• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification, GNVQ Health and Social Care Level 2 or above, Degree in SEND Education or equivalent.
• Specific training skills such as MAKATON, PECS, HOIST, Moving & Handling, First Aid, and de-escalation are advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge and understanding of effective support in a SEND setting.
• Attend to pupils' needs and implement related programs covering social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid, and welfare matters.
• Minimum of 6 months solid experience working in a special school setting.
• Support pupils' special educational needs and disabilities.
• Assist with physical, sensory, communication, and learning needs.
• Be flexible and adaptable in your approach, especially on supply and during term time.
• Hold a Child and Adult Workforce DBS or be willing to apply for a new one.
• We do not accept sponsorship.
