We are working with an alternative provision in Leeds seeking a Higher Level 4 Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a varied and rewarding role for individuals passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver curricular for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 learners on a primary model content.
Lead small group sessions tailored to students’ needs.
Manage classroom resources effectively.
Take children on educational trips and visits.
Follow the school’s positive regard and behaviour policies.
Support children during crises or heightened behaviours, maintaining safety and applying strong behaviour management strategies.
Celebrate student success and achievements.
Participate in therapeutic training sessions and reflective practices.
Candidate Requirements:

Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.
Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
Commitment to teaching learners with differentiated needs.
Valid and current DBS on the subscription service.
Passionate about making a positive impact on children’s lives.
