An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Womens CSU at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. We are looking for apassionate, enthusiastic, and experienced midwife with a specialist interest in education and staff development to join our Clinical Education Team.
Youmust have a live current NMC registration.
Youmust have a broad range of knowledge and experience within maternity service sand be innovative, proactive and compassionate and be able to disseminate innovation and learning in a supportive way.
Youneed to have a sound understanding of the evidence base and be able to translate this into practice. As avisible and approachable role model you will provide specialist advice tosupport a broad range of colleagues, working alongside them in clinical areasto develop a skilled, compassionate and resilient workforce. You will mostly be working in the hospital setting with a particular focus on supporting the delivery of clinical skills, emergency and simulation training.

Main duties of the jobThe Jobholder will play an essential role supporting the Lead Clinical Educator(Band
7), Team Leaders, Matrons and Head of Midwifery, by facilitating midwifery education, training and practice development within the Women CSU.
Thejob holder is responsible for assessing the quality of clinical and other practice learning environments, and proposing interventions within midwifery for improvement.
Thejob holder will facilitate the development of clinical practice mentors/key trainers, providing supervision through bedside clinical support, and continuous professional development activities.
Thejob holder will support the development of interdisciplinary and whole service working to ensure the sharing of good practice and delivery of high quality, effective and efficient care.
Thejob holder will work alongside and support clinical staff to deliver care tothe agreed standards.
Support new starters (registered and non-registered) through a formalised and structured induction and preceptorship programme. Provide formal and informal education and training to registered and non-registered staff. Identify learning and development opportunities for staff and promote continuous quality improvement.
