2) to support our partner schools.
We are looking for enthusiastic teachers who can deliver engaging Phonics sessions and structured literacy lessons, ensuring children in Leeds get the best possible start to their formal education.
About the RoleAs a Supply KS1 Teacher, you will be a vital resource for schools, covering short-term sickness or course cover.
Responsibilities- Deliver pre-planned lessons across Year 1 and Year 2.
- Lead high-energy Phonics sessions (confidence with schemes like Little Wandle, Read Write Inc., or Letters and Sounds is highly desirable).
- Support pupils through the transition from EYFS or prepare Year 2s for SATs in a low-stress manner.
- Manage classroom behaviour positively and effectively.
- Mark work at the end of the day to ensure the class teacher returns to a tidy handover.
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1 is essential.
- The ability to fit into different school teams quickly and follow school policies.
- Enhanced DBS on the updated service (or willingness for one).
