Milk Education is working in partnership with a network of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Wakefield and South Leeds . We are currently seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 , inspiring a love of literature, language and learning.

This opportunity is ideal for ECTs, experienced teachers, or supply teachers looking for flexible, short-term or long-term roles. You’ll be joining schools with strong English departments and supportive leadership teams, where high expectations and student progress are a priority.

• Deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (Language and Literature)
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Create a positive, inclusive and purposeful learning environment
• Effectively manage classroom behaviour and maintain high standards
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students
• Work collaboratively with departmental and wider school teams
• Uphold safeguarding policies and school procedures at all times

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or are working towards it (ECTs welcome)
• Strong subject knowledge in English
• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A passion for raising attainment and engaging young people
• Flexibility and adaptability across different school settings
