We are seeking a proactive reliable and highly skilled Food Technology technician to join our friendly Food Technology team. This position is 25 hours per week term-time only plus 10 additional days supporting colleagues and students in Food Technology.
If youhavepractical food skills are very organised enjoy a varied workload and are keen to support the work of a collaborative and supportive department this position offers an excellent opportunity for you.
The roleIn this varied and rewarding role you will prepare materials and equipment for Food Technologylessonsmaintainourspecialist rooms and stores and provide support during practicallessons. You will play a key role in ensuring thatsuchlessons are delivered smoothlysafelyand creatively.
Whilstpreviousexperience as aFoodTechnologytechnician would be an advantage it is not essential-what matters most is a positive proactive attitudetogetherwith the relevant skills. We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised equipped with practical food skills and confident in managing ingredients equipment and the preparation ofFood Technologyrooms
- Motivatedandenthusiasticabout supporting engaging practicallessons
- An effective communicator able towork well with bothcolleaguesand students
- Proactive adaptable and keen to develop new skills
- Able to work independently as well as contributingeffectivelyas part of a team
- Taking pride inmaintainingclean safe and efficiently runfacilities with attention to detail
- An abilityto offerdigitalphotographyand editingskillswould be an advantage
