Job Summary:
St Gregory’s CofE Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and inspiring Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Key Stage 2 teacher who is passionate about children’s learning and ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Headteacher, contributing to strategic development, and promoting school improvement through high‑quality teaching and leadership.
Key responsibilities:
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner, with a proven ability to secure high‑quality outcomes for pupils.
- Brings passion, creativity, and commitment to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
- Has the expertise and confidence to lead English across both St Gregory’s and St George’s CofE Primary School, driving high standards and championing a love of reading and writing.
- Acts as a visible, positive role model, inspiring and supporting colleagues to continually improve their practice.
- Is eager to develop their leadership skills and contribute to our schools’ exciting journey of continued improvement.
- Can support the Executive Headteacher with leadership responsibilities across both schools.
This class‑based role includes dedicated leadership release time, enabling you to influence practice across our school and in particular Key Stage 2, support staff development, and help shape a thriving, dynamic, and supportive learning environment.
