SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary Provision (Leeds LS9)

Are you a compassionate, resilient and motivated individual with a strong passion for supporting children with special educational needs?

Do you have hands-on experience working with SEND and managing challenging behaviour, and are you seeking a long-term, full-time role within a nurturing primary setting?

• We are currently recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary SEND provision in Leeds (LS9).
• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and challenging behaviour
• Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Encourage engagement, confidence and wellbeing
• Assist with learning across the primary curriculum
• Track and support pupil progress alongside teachers and the SEN team
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment

• Long-term, full-time position
• Monday to Friday, during school hours
• Term-time only
• Supportive senior leadership team and experienced SEN staff
• Positive and inclusive school environment

• Essential: experience supporting children with SEND
• Essential: experience managing challenging behaviour
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Resilient, proactive and adaptable attitude
• Team Teach training is desirable, or willingness to complete training
• A positive role model with a nurturing and supportive personality
