Pastoral Assistant

Southwark, South East London

£15 – £17 per hour

ASAP

Long term (July 2028+)

• Supporting teaching and pastoral staff across the school
• Covering classes when required
• Providing 1:1 student support and intervention
• Overseeing student attendance and absence follow-ups
• Booking meetings and appointments with parents and staff
• Completing administrative tasks related to pastoral care

• Large, mainstream secondary school
• Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted
• Located in South East London with excellent transport links
• Strong leadership team and supportive staff environment
• Opportunities for professional growth and progression

• Previous experience as a Pastoral Assistant or Cover Supervisor
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Ability to build xlqdzyr positive relationships with students and staff
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Legal right to work in the UK
• Able to reliably commute to Southwark

• Enhanced DBS clearance
• Overseas police checks (if applicable)
• Professional reference checks
