Responsibilities- Lead research and teaching in the field of ecology or zoology, enhancing research strengths in ecology, zoology, evolution, and conservation biology.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of local, national, and international contacts across academia, industry, conservation, and policy sectors.
- Bridge the gap between fundamental and applied research, aligning work with the university’s commitment to producing science with real‑world impact.
- Contribute significantly to the development of outstanding graduates and scholars through innovative, high‑quality teaching, supervision, and mentorship.
- Academic excellence and a strong track record of research and publications.
- Specialisation in one or more of: biodiversity, conservation ecology, global change biology, quantitative ecology, zoology, or a closely related discipline that integrates ecological and zoological perspectives.
- Experience or potential to secure funding and collaborate with external partners.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
