SEND Learning Support Assistant

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND provision based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a SEND LSA on a long-term basis. This welcoming setting supports children and young people with a range of SEND needs, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.

The school is looking for a dedicated SEND LSA to work full-time on a long-term contract supporting pupils across a range of ages and abilities. The successful SEND LSA will support students on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping to manage behaviour, encourage engagement and provide tailored support to meet individual learning and emotional needs.

The successful SEND LSA will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND

• Team Teach training

• A patient and resilient approach to behaviour management

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• The ability to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis

• A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
