Primary SEND Learning Support Assistant

Yorkshire and Humber / contract / £95 - 105 per day

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision in Leeds that is dedicated to providing high‑quality support for children with a range of additional needs. The provision promotes an inclusive and nurturing environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop confidence, independence and achieve their full potential.

The provision is looking to appoint a Primary SEND Learning Support Assistant on either a day‑to‑day or long‑term basis from September. The successful Primary SEND Learning Support Assistant will support pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2, working closely with children who have physical disabilities and additional needs, including providing intimate care, administering medication and supporting access to learning throughout the school day.

• Experience supporting children with physical disabilities within a SEND setting
• Experience working with pupils across KS1 and KS2
• Confidence providing intimate care and administering medication
• A strong understanding of SEND support strategies and inclusive practice
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
