Programme Overview
The Social Mobility Talent Insight Programme is a 3‑day paid Insight programme targeted at students from a lower socio‑economic background. It offers opportunities to explore the Audit business, meet diverse professionals, and build professional networks.
Programme Length3 days (24th – 26th June 2026)
Eligibility and Entry RequirementsStudents in their penultimate year of university, with commitment to the programme location and business area.
- Academic requirements: on track to achieve a 2:1 undergraduate degree, or already hold an upper second‑class honours.
- GCSEs: 5 GCSEs at A*/C or 4‑9 (including English Language and Maths) or equivalent Scottish National 5 qualifications.
- 120 UCAS points from top three grades.
- Low socio‑economic background, defined as:
- Attended state school or college
- The occupation of your main household earner at age 14 is categorised as lower socio‑economic
- Eligible for free school meals (or attended a school with above‑regional‑average free school meals)
- First in immediate family to attend university
- Parental occupation socioeconomic classification is a national standard; the Social Mobility Work’s toolkit provides details on the categorisations.
- Strong communication and networking ability
- Initiative and drive to learn
- Integrity and professionalism
The programme includes a 3‑day paid Insight experience, with practical exposure and training. Successful participants may be considered for a Graduate offer in 2027.
Additional InformationThis is a 3‑day paid Insight programme, with a salary equivalent to the living wage. The programme runs 24‑26 June 2026. Applicants who require visa sponsorship after graduation are ineligible for this programme.
