Job Description
Student Services are recruiting for a Specialist Study Skills & Inclusive Practice Tutor to support the development of inclusive practice across the university and provide specialist teaching to students with specific learning differences or autism.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with academic colleagues to provide practical support in developing inclusive learning and teaching strategies and resources.
- Promote the University’s Standards of Inclusive Practice and embed inclusive approaches across the curriculum.
- Work with students across all levels of study to develop strategies and skills through one-to-one teaching and workshops to larger groups.
- Be familiar with strategies and aids to support learning for students with specific learning differences and autism, and have experience of inclusive teaching.
- Experience of inclusive teaching and familiarity with strategies and aids for students with specific learning differences and autism.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work flexibly with colleagues across the university.
- Ability to build positive and collaborative relationships and deliver a consistent service to students.
The role will be based across City Centre and Headingley campuses, within Student Services, and is a term‑time role worked over 34 weeks per year.
