About the RoleAs an Early Career Teacher, you will take on full classroom responsibilities while receiving the guidance and support needed to thrive in your first teaching role. Opportunities are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, depending on your specialism and preference.
Responsibilities- Planning, preparing, and delivering creative and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can achieve
- Assessing, tracking, and monitoring pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to support individual needs
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies and promoting a respectful learning atmosphere
- Differentiating lessons to support a range of abilities, including pupils with SEN, EAL, or additional learning needs
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEND staff, and senior leaders to support pupil development
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Participating in wider school life, including staff meetings, training, and extracurricular activities
- Long‑term roles with the potential for permanent opportunities
- Short‑term or supply roles to help gain varied experience across different school settings
- Schools with structured ECT induction programmes
, providing mentoring, observations, and professional development
