Lavington School, part of EQUA Mead Learning Trust, is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support the learning and development of all pupils.
ResponsibilitiesWork closely with teachers to support learning, helping students achieve their full potential while promoting independence, confidence and inclusion. Provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, ensuring all pupils, including those with SEND, can access the curriculum and feel a sense of achievement. Prepare and organise learning resources, maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment and use effective behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes.
Observe student progress, monitor targets and share feedback with teachers and the SENCO to inform decision‑making. Communicate effectively with staff, parents and external professionals to support students’ development and wellbeing. Contribute to the wider life of the school, including supporting extracurricular activities, safeguarding pupils, and assisting with interventions and examinations where needed. Engage in ongoing professional development, uphold high standards of conduct and actively contribute to a supportive, inclusive and aspirational school environment.
