East Garforth Primary Academy are looking to appoint a Primary Teacher to join us in September 2026 on a full‑time, temporary basis.

Are you looking for a new opportunity to be part of a successful team and Trust? Then this could be the role for you.

The school community

Our academy is located in the easily commutable outer east side of Leeds in the community of Garforth and is part of the Delta Academies Trust. We currently hold a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and are proud of our consistently strong outcomes for pupils. We are a school who provide a rich and ambitious curriculum and occupy a plot with large green spaces, which include a wildlife area.

It is our mission to offer every child high‑quality education in a supportive, safe and inspiring environment in which they feel valued and aspire to become life‑long learners who aim to ‘be the best they can be’.

Your new role

The successful candidate will teach pupils in Key Stage 2, ensuring the highest possible standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well‑being are realised.

Interviews will be held during the week commencing 29th June 2026.

Our offer to you

We value kindness and seek to create an academy where staff feel supported, encouraged and equipped by an excellent Trust‑wide CPD programme and staff benefits scheme.

Visits to the academy would be warmly welcomed by appointment. Please contact the academy on if you would like to arrange a visit.

Why join us

We are an exceptional academy who strive to constantly improve our practice and ensure that the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, children’s personal development, and leadership and management are shining examples of best practice. Our results at the end of KS2 are some of the highest achieved in Leeds over the recent years, and we are looking for an outstanding teacher to join our established KS2 team and support subject leadership with the academy.

We balance academic achievement with the support for pupils and are proud to be a ‘Thrive’ approach academy. Staff across the trust are talented and enthusiastic, and all contribute to the trust’s success story. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an outstanding team within a high‑performing multi‑academy trust with exciting career prospects for successful applicants.
