Childhood Studies Graduate – Teaching Assistant (Leeds)

Are you a Childhood Studies graduate looking to gain hands‑on experience in a school setting? Milk Education is working with welcoming primary schools across Leeds who are seeking caring, enthusiastic, and motivated graduates to work as Teaching Assistants.

This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your knowledge of child development, learning, and wellbeing while supporting pupils in a rewarding classroom environment.

Hours & Contract
  • Monday–Friday, 08:30–15:30
  • Full‑time roles available

Your Role & Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
  • Assist children with their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Support pupils with SEN and additional learning needs
  • Encourage confidence, participation, and positive behaviour
  • Help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources
What We’re Looking For
  • A Childhood Studies degree (2:2 or above)
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, patient, and reliable approach
  • Experience working with children (placements, volunteering, tutoring, youth work, childcare, coaching, etc.) is beneficial but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
