Role Overview
Primary Maths Specialist in the White Rose Maths curriculum delivery team. Hybrid role based in Halifax & Leeds offices, 2 days a week in office.
£40,000 to £55,000 per year (full time equivalent) dependent on experience. Permanent, full-time position.
Key Responsibilities- Produce high quality materials that support the White Rose Maths curriculum.
- Support teaching of maths in primary provision through effective CPD and collaboration with primary school leaders.
- Work with individual teachers to improve their performance.
- Work with school leaders to audit requirements, provision and plan for improvements.
- Advise primary schools on effective implementation of the White Rose Maths curriculum.
- Deliver and design inspiring CPD programmes in line with trust values and teaching principles.
- Assist in implementation of the curriculum by providing specialist guidance and support.
- Role‑model outstanding teaching and learning.
- Deliver school improvement programmes including coaching, mentoring, target setting, observations, learning walks and maths audits.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant education policy, developments, research and initiatives.
- Participate in performance management reviews.
- Support safeguarding and welfare of students and comply with company policies.
- QTS and successful completion of ECT.
- Degree level education with an excellent track record of recent, relevant professional development.
- Evidence of effective teaching and performance within primary maths specialization.
- Experience of subject leadership in a teaching environment.
- Experience of further study and educational research.
- Experience of creating educational resources using varied software packages.
- Inspire confidence in staff, students, parents and others.
- Set high standards and act as a role model.
- Commitment to personal development and adaptability.
- Reliability, integrity and strong planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, delivering training and CPD programmes.
- Capability to liaise effectively with partners and agencies.

Head of Primary Maths.
