Spanish Teacher Required for Secondary School in Leeds

Are you a qualified Spanish teacher? Whether you’re an experienced practitioner or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this opportunity could be the ideal next step in your teaching career.

We are working with an ambitious and inclusive secondary school in the Leeds area, which is seeking a Teacher of Spanish to start in September on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis.

About the role

The successful applicant will be joining a dedicated and supportive Modern Foreign Languages department within a well-resourced and forward-thinking school. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire a love of languages and promote high levels of student achievement.

This is a full-time, long-term role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position within the school. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the needs of learners of all abilities.

About you
  • A qualified teacher with a formal teaching qualification (ECTs/NQTs will be considered for this role)
  • Confident teaching Spanish at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 to a range of abilities
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages and education
  • The ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that motivate and challenge students
  • Excellent classroom management skills and high expectations of behaviour and achievement
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to new environments
  • A commitment to raising attainment and ensuring all students make excellent progress
  • A desire to work collaboratively with the wider department and contribute positively to the school community
  • A commitment to supporting the school’s inclusive ethos and values
