Job Overview
The East Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC) is a 2‑19 generic special school with 470 learners on roll. All learners have special learning needs and some have physical/medical difficulties. The East SILC operates on a variety of sites to provide outreach services across the city, including partnerships with primary and secondary providers and the city‑wide Physical Difficulties and Medical Service.
Role and ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for an experienced, committed and enthusiastic fixed‑term Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our growing team and help make a lasting difference to learners’ lives. This role involves supporting teaching and learning, addressing the personal needs of learners, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team across all East SILC sites.
Qualifications and Experience- Skilled and resilient, with a willingness to learn and adapt
- Good communicator and a team player capable of working with a range of learners, including those with autism, severe learning difficulties, hearing and visual impairments, physical difficulties, communication and language challenges, and associated social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Ability to work flexibly at any of the East SILC sites.
35 hours per week on a fixed‑term contract, based at Jack Clark. Staff may be asked to work at any site within the organisation.
