A lively and ambitious secondary school in Leeds is looking for an inspiring KS3 English Teacher to join their team full time from September until Christmas 2026. This role is perfect for someone who brings energy to the classroom, loves sparking curiosity in young readers and writers, and thrives in a collaborative, forward‑thinking English department. You’ll play a key part in shaping confident communicators during a crucial stage of their learning journey.

• Deliver engaging, well‑planned English lessons to KS3 classes across the autumn term.
• Foster a love of reading, writing and language through creative and purposeful teaching.
• Assess student progress, provide meaningful feedback and support learners in meeting their goals.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels motivated and valued.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental discussions and shared teaching approaches.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement in line with school policies.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching English at KS3 level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English.
• Confident classroom management and excellent communication skills.
• A proactive, professional and supportive approach to working with young people.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
