About the Role

As a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional learning, behavioural, or emotional support within a supportive school setting.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Working with children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Helping pupils build confidence, engagement, independence, and emotional regulation skills
  • Supporting classroom learning across literacy, numeracy, and targeted interventions
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom resources
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting inclusion throughout the school
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above
