Maths Teacher

About the role

Justteachers are recruiting for a passionate Maths Teacher or a Cover Supervisor with a strong specialism in Mathematics to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and promote a love of maths across Key Stages.

We welcome applications from qualified teachers as well as experienced cover supervisors who have strong subject knowledge in maths and confidence delivering lessons.

• Deliver high-quality Maths lessons (or supervise pre-set lessons)
• Support students in developing mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Adapt delivery to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities
• Provide feedback on student engagement and progress
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Encourage student participation and confidence in maths
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the Maths department

• Experience working with young people in an educational setting
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of Mathematics
• Confident classroom presence with good behaviour management skills
• Ability to engage, motivate and inspire students
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
