Lecturer – BA (Hons) Creative Writing

Leeds Arts University is recruiting lecturers for short‑term teaching blocks on the BA (Hons) Creative Writing programme. The role involves teaching intermittent sessions, with the frequency of sessions to be confirmed. Successful appointments will initially undertake a paid induction period to familiarise themselves with university systems and will be placed on a register for future teaching opportunities.

• Deliver short‑term teaching sessions for the Creative Writing course.
• Prepare and present lesson materials aligned with the programme syllabus.
• Participate in induction and professional development activities.

• Degree in a relevant subject with demonstrable knowledge and expertise in Creative Writing.
• Active practitioner or educator in Creative Writing, with specialisms in poetry, drama (screen and stage), comedy, or nature writing welcomed.
• Experience of teaching at the relevant level is desirable; industry professionals with an interest in developing teaching skills are also considered.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

The role offers flexible working arrangements, including home‑working and a hybrid site/remote model. The primary campus location is Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Salary: £43.14 per hour (including holiday pay and admin time). Contractual terms vary.
