Part-time Maths Teacher

Justteachers are recruiting for a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Leeds seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Part‑Time Maths Teacher to join its successful Mathematics department from September 2026
.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching available depending on experience), delivering high‑quality teaching and contributing to a supportive learning environment.

You will be joining a committed team focused on raising attainment and fostering a genuine appreciation for mathematics among all learners.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
• Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
• Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour
• Participate in parents’ evenings, staff meetings, and school events
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities where appropriate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Degree in Mathematics or a related subject
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level (KS3 & KS4 essential)
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Maths
• Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• An organised, proactive, and reflective teaching approach
