Part-Time Nursery Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the LS10 area of Leeds
. This part-time role (half days) is available from September and offers ongoing work, with a daily rate of £95–£105 (pro rata) depending on experience. The successful candidate will support children within a Nursery setting, helping them develop key early learning skills through a mixture of structured tasks and play‑based activities.

The school is a friendly and inclusive primary setting with a strong emphasis on early years development, ensuring children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore. Staff work collaboratively to create a warm and stimulating environment where young learners can build confidence, develop communication skills, and begin their educational journey positively. The leadership team is supportive and values the contributions of Nursery staff in creating a nurturing and engaging setting.

• Support Nursery pupils with play‑based learning and early development activities.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured EYFS provision.
• Promote positive behaviour, independence, and social interaction.
• Help maintain routines and support pupils’ emotional wellbeing.

• Experience working with Nursery or EYFS‑aged children.
• A patient, nurturing, and engaging approach.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Understanding of early years development and EYFS principles.
