Milk Education is looking for Aspiring Behaviour, Pastoral, or Cover Specialists to support secondary schools across Leeds and Wakefield. This is a cover-first role — your main responsibility is keeping lessons running smoothly when teachers are absent.
Behaviour management and pastoral support are valuable extras that make you even more indispensable.

We welcome applicants from backgrounds where leadership, authority, and reliability are second nature:

• Police, Prison, or Security Services
• Armed Forces & Veterans
• Youth Work or Community Support
• Sports Coaching or Team Leadership

If you’re dependable, calm under pressure, and confident with 11–16-year-olds, this role is perfect for you.

• Supervising classes and delivering pre-prepared lessons during teacher absence
• Maintaining focus, engagement, and classroom order
• Using behaviour management skills to handle challenging situations
• Supporting pastoral teams where needed
• Acting as a consistent, positive role model

Secondary schools rely on adults who can step in immediately and professionally
. You’ll ensure students remain focused, lessons continue smoothly, and behaviour expectations are maintained — all while contributing to pastoral support where appropriate.
