Deputy Training Programme Director – T&O Surgery; North

Job Summary

Deputy Training Programme Director – T&O Surgery (North). The post is available on a secondment arrangement to NHS England, remunerated in line with TPD sessional payments (1PA, 4 per week). All work will be incorporated into the Consultant Job Plan.

• Support the Head of School in delivering a wide range of functions aligned to the NHS England mandate.
• Improve learner supervision, assessment and experience; engage faculty and ensure effective educational outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Postgraduate Dean to mandate integrated workforce education that reflects changing service models.
• Develop and maintain an effective network of communication and collaboration with stakeholders at local, regional and national levels.
• Ensure high standards of education and training as defined by national bodies, manage objectives within budget and contribute to savings.
• Provide accurate guidance to trainees on OOP, IDT, LTFT and acting up applications.
• Lead improvement of learner supervision, engagement of faculty, workforce transformation and innovative curriculum delivery.
