As a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN)
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to develop communication skills
• Deliver targeted activities and interventions under the guidance of teachers and SENCOs
• Help children develop confidence in speaking, listening, and social interaction
• Support pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties
• Use creative strategies, games, and activities to encourage engagement and learning
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
• Create a positive, inclusive environment where every child feels supported

Your skills and experience can make a huge difference in schools through your understanding of:

• A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning

No formal Teaching Assistant qualification is required — we’re looking for the right attitude, passion, and transferable skills.
