Featured Teaching Assistant and Mentor Women Arise

Women Arise is a project that supports refugee and migrant women to learn English and access wellbeing classes. We also have a higher ability Employability class which supports women with the language needed to apply for jobs and mentors them on the road to employment.

We are looking for volunteers who can support the Employability class on Tuesday afternoons 12:15-2:30pm (term time only) by leading small group activities and worksheets and mentoring individuals. The mentoring involves looking at strengths and skills and outlining a plan of action and a set of goals as well as encouraging and speaking hope into their lives.

This role is open to anyone with the heart to support migrant women in their life journeys and we also welcome volunteers whohave a little understanding of the job market and what is needed to further oneself in their gifts. We are looking for female Christians to join this work.
