• Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons across KS4 and KS5
• Teach Business Studies, Economics, or both depending on your specialism and experience
• Develop students’ understanding of key business concepts, including finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, operations, and business strategy
• Use real-world examples, current business trends, and case studies to bring lessons to life
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote positive learning attitudes
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support development
• Encourage students to develop their analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Build positive relationships with students and inspire an interest in business, economics, and the wider world of work
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider Business Studies department and school community

• Work across a variety of welcoming secondary schools and sixth forms in Leeds
• Gain experience across different school environments and Business Studies departments
• Support students as they prepare for further education, university, and future careers

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
• A degree in Business, Economics, or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge across Business Studies and/or Economics
• Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level
• Experience teaching KS5/A-Level Business Studies is desirable
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A passion for inspiring and motivating young people
• The ability to use real-world examples and case studies to engage students and make learning relevant
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• ECTs are welcome to apply!
