SEND Teaching Assistant to work in primary schools and resource provisions in schools for September
Milk Education are working with primary schools across West Yorkshire who are seeking full-time SEND Teaching Assistants to work 1-2-1and full class with children with autism/ADHD and learning needs.
If you are patient, nurturing, and accommodating to the childrens learning needs these roles are for you.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant the role will involve keeping the child/children on task and ensuring that the work they are doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensuring the child’s needs are being met. In a SEND Teaching Assistant role, you will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for the children.
Yourmain responsibilities will include:
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
- Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
- Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
Skills:
- Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people with SEND needs
- Must have a passion for education
- Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
- Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
- MUST have Level 3 qualification
