Join secondary schools across Leeds and Wakefield, supporting students aged 11–18 both in and out of the classroom. You’ll use your coaching skills to build positive relationships, encourage engagement and help students overcome barriers to learning while working alongside experienced teachers and pastoral teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver mentoring and intervention sessions for individual students and small groups.
  • Encourage participation, teamwork and resilience through positive role modelling.
  • Support teachers in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff and families to promote positive outcomes.
Who we’re looking for:
  • Sports coaches, fitness instructors, youth workers or graduates with a passion for working with young people.
  • Individuals considering careers in teaching, behaviour support, pastoral care, youth work or education.
  • Confident communicators who can inspire, motivate and build positive relationships.
  • Calm, resilient and adaptable individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people is beneficial but not essential.
What this role offers:
  • Pay: £107.71 – £137.71 per day
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
  • Valuable experience supporting students in secondary schools.
  • Ongoing mentoring and support from experienced education consultants.
  • Excellent preparation for careers in teaching, behaviour management, pastoral care and youth work.
  • Opportunities to progress into long-term, permanent and teacher training roles.
