Next Gen Teachers are recruiting a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant / Psychology Graduate to join a large, welcoming and inclusive primary school in Leeds.

You will support a small group of approximately 10 children in KS1 with significant SEND needs
, including Autism (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience before progressing into Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, teaching or another SEND-related career.

• Supporting KS1 children with significant SEND needs
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
• Helping pupils access learning through structured and differentiated activities
• Working closely with teachers and the school's SEND team
• Building positive and consistent relationships with pupils

We are looking for someone who is:

• A Psychology graduate or experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
• Patient, resilient, caring and reliable
• Comfortable supporting children with Autism, SLCN and SEMH
• Able to commit to a full-time role for a minimum of one year

Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential for the right graduate
